The General Election is November 8, 2016 and we need you to become a poll worker. In addition to performing their civic duty, poll workers also get paid. Poll workers earn at least $175, depending on the position, in addition to a $20 stipend for attending mandatory poll worker in-person training and $25 for each online course passed. Registrar to reissue some ballots due to printing error
SOLANO COUNTY – Due to a printing error, the Solano County Registrar of Voters is reissuing approximately 4,700 vote by mail ballots and 30,000 sample ballots to poll voters registered voters in Fairfield early next week.

Mediterranean Fruit Fly detected in Vacaville
SOLANO COUNTY / VACAVILLE, CALIFORNIA – The Solano County Agricultural Commissioner, the County of Solano, and the City of Vacaville, in cooperation with the California Department of Food and Agriculture and the United States Department of Agriculture, announced that an extensive survey has begun in response to the detection of a single Mediterranean fruit fly (Medfly) within the City of Vacaville.
