Solano Nonprofit Capacity Building Program now accepting applications to participate in Fundraising and Volunteer Management Program at UC Berkeley

Nonprofit leaders who provide services in Solano County are invited to apply for a sponsorship to attend a four-month program at UC Berkeley Extension in Fundraising and Volunteer Management. The program is being sponsored by a generous grant from Zellerbach Family Foundation with additional funding provided by First 5 Solano and Solano County Health & Social Services.

The course is a training opportunity for nonprofit staff who are interested in increasing their expertise in raising funds, garnering community support, recruiting and retaining volunteers and board members, and increasing fundraising skills, such as grant-writing and maintaining funder relationships.

The sponsorship covers the $1,950 cost of the course for each attendee. Attendees must attend 4 all-day sessions in Fairfield in the fall of 2017. In addition, there will be coursework prior to and between class sessions and nonprofits must follow up with Solano County 6 months following the conclusion of the program to report on outcomes.

An optional information session will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 10:00-11:00AM at 601 Texas St, Conference Room B. Applications are due to First 5 Solano by 5pm, August 9, 2017.
