County recommends use of cloth face coverings when social distancing measures are difficult to maintain
May 24, 2020  SOLANO COUNTY – As the County moves at an accelerated pace into Stage 2 of the Governor's Roadmap to Recovery, Solano County Public Health Officials, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) all recommend wearing a cloth face covering in public, especially when maintaining six-feet of personal space is difficult or impossible to maintain.

County receives OK to move further into Stage 2, begin process of reopening destination retail stores, shopping malls and dine-in restaurants
May 21, 2020  SOLANO COUNTY – County officials are pleased to announce the California Department of Public Health has agreed to the County's COVID-19 County Variance Attestation request to move further into Stage 2 of the Governor’s Roadmap to Modify the Stay-at-Home health order. The approval allows for the reopening of some low-risk business activities closed under the state’s current health order.

County resubmits COVID-19 attestation documentation to the State, looks to advance more quickly through Stage 2
May 20, 2020  SOLANO COUNTY – County officials are pleased to announce they have resubmitted COVID-19 County Variance Attestation paperwork to the California Department of Public Health, and are confident the County meets the criteria necessary for advancing more quickly through Stage 2 of the Governor's order.

County volunteers begin making phone calls to support older adults during COVID-19 pandemic
May 14, 2020  SOLANO COUNTY – The County of Solano, in coordination with the seven cities, has started up the new COVID-19 Older Adult Resource Phone Line and begun making calls. The phone line, staffed exclusively by volunteers, is intended to check-in on seniors age 60 years and older and those living with disabilities to see if they have adequate assistance and resources during the COVID-19 pandemic.

County Public Health Officer amends shelter-at-home order — low-risk businesses to reopen starting Friday subject to specific social distancing practices
May 7, 2020  SOLANO COUNTY – Solano County Public Health officials have drafted a roadmap to reopening, following the concepts in the State Resiliency Roadmap. The local roadmap outlines activities and criteria-based phases necessary to lift the shelter-at-home health order in accordance with the Governor's strategy for reopening the state. The roadmap is a living policy document that both abides by the existing Solano County and State of California Public Health Orders.
