It’s time to know your TB status and risk: Testing and treatment are keys to TB elimination
March 22, 2019  SOLANO COUNTY – The California Department of Public Health has announced that 2,091 new cases of tuberculosis (TB) were identified state-wide in 2018, an increase of 32 new cases when compared to 2017. Solano County reported 29 new cases in 2018, up three new cases from the prior year.

District 5 seeks applications to fill vacancies on Arts Council and Montezuma Fire Protection District citizen advisory committees
March 18, 2019  SOLANO COUNTY – Solano County District 5 Supervisor Skip Thomson is seeking applications from individuals interested in serving in a citizen advisory role to the Board of Supervisors as a representative on various advisory boards and committees. He currently has two openings, including a position on the Arts Council and another on the Montezuma Fire Protection District.

Solano County Joins MCE in Community Choice
March 5, 2019  SAN RAFAEL and CONCORD, Calif. — On February 19, 2019, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) approved Solano County's membership within MCE's Joint Powers Authority, setting the stage for MCE to become the primary electricity provider for Allendale, Dixon Ridge, Elmira, Green Valley, and the rest of unincorporated Solano County in 2020. Solano joins Marin, Napa and Contra Costa counties, as well as the City of Benicia, in pioneering California’s first and longest-serving community choice aggregation (CCA) program.
