Annual grants program available to support young children and their families in Solano County

April 18, 2018

SOLANO COUNTY – First 5 Solano has launched an annual grants program with up to $20,000 per grant available for one-time projects to address the needs of children ages 0-5, their parents/caregivers, and/or providers of services to children ages 0-5 in Solano County.

The purpose of the annual grants program is to provide an opportunity for the First 5 Solano Commission to consider grant requests that fill community gaps, pilot new or innovative ideas, or address time sensitive community needs. All projects proposed for the Annual Grants Fund must support First 5 Solano's mission to promote, support and improve the lives of young children, their families and their communities.

A total of $200,000 is available for July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019. The limit per annual grant is $20,000. Applications will be accepted through May 16, 2018 until 5 p.m.

First 5 will host an applicant workshop on Monday, April 30 starting at 10:30 a.m. at the County Events Center, Conference Room B, located at 601 Texas St., in Fairfield.  Attending the workshop is completely optional.  For the Request for Applications and the Application form, visit www.first5solano.org.
