District 5 Supervisor seeks applications to fill vacancy on Dixon Fire Protection District and Solano Partnership Against Violence advisory boards

SOLANO COUNTY – Solano County District 5 Supervisor Skip Thomson is seeking applications from individuals interested in serving in a citizen advisory role to the Board of Supervisors as a representative on the Dixon Fire Protection District and Solano Partnership Against Violence advisory boards.

The Dixon Fire Department works under contract and partnership with the Dixon Fire Protection District and is committed to providing fast, safe, and effective fire protection, rescue, and emergency medical services to our community outside of the city limits. Applicants for the Dixon Fire Protection District must reside within the Dixon Fire Protection District Boundaries.

The Solano Partnership Against Violence (SPAV) is committed to ending family violence in Solano County, consistent with the Board of Supervisors policies, by providing a forum for inter-agency cooperation and coordination in the prevention, detection, treatment and legal processing of family violence cases.  SPAV meets the second Tuesday of the month from 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Solano Family Justice Center, 604 Empire Street in Fairfield.  Applicants for the Solano Partnership Against Violence must either live or work in Solano County.
