All Solano County parks and Solano Land Trust properties closing due to COVID-19

March 25, 2020

SOLANO COUNTY – In Solano County, under that advisement from Solano County Public Health, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, all Solano County Parks and Solano Land Trust public access properties are closing to the public, effective at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2020.

To reduce the potential public spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), Solano County Parks and the Solano Land Trust have decided to close the following publicly accessible areas, including:

- Belden's Landing Water Access Facility
- Sandy Beach County Park
- Lake Solano County Park
- Rush Ranch Open Space
- Lynch Canyon Open Space Park
- Jepson Prairie Open Space

"We made this joint decision to protect the health and safety of our employees and the public, which are our highest priorities," said Nicole Braddock, Executive Director of Solano Land Trust and Chris Drake, Solano County Parks Services Manager.  “While we are saddened by closing these important community assets, by working together, we aim to re-open them as soon as possible.”

Solano County Public Health, Solano County Parks and Solano Land Trust encourage Solano County residents to get outside near their homes and implement social distancing best practices.  For more information on COVID-19, including social distancing, visit the Solano County Public Health website at www.SolanoCounty.com/PublicHealth and on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/SolanoCountyPH.
