Ag Department working closely with Vacaville neighborhood to monitor and eradicate invasive pest
November 16, 2021  SOLANO COUNTY – The Solano County Department of Agriculture is working closely with residents in the Browns Valley neighborhood in Vacaville to identify and eradicate a glassy-winged sharpshooter infestation, an invasive pest that presents an extreme threat to California's vineyards and economy.

SolanoConnex, a new free web-app, is designed to help expand access to mental and emotional health resources
November 9, 2021  SOLANO COUNTY – Solano County officials, in partnership with Touro University, is pleased to announce the launch of SolanoConnex, a new web-app that lists more than 100 mental and emotional health services available throughout Solano County. The web-app is free, easy-to-use, includes live support and is available in three languages, including English, Spanish and Tagalog.

Solano County expands COVID-19 vaccine eligibility to individuals age 5-11; widely available throughout County
November 5, 2021  SOLANO COUNTY –– Solano County is expanding vaccine eligibility to individuals living or attending school in Solano County who are ages 5-11, in accordance with state and national guidance to expand eligibility to this age group.


Solano County receives AA+ and AAA credit rating upgrades from Standard and Poor
September 13, 2021  SOLANO COUNTY – County officials are pleased to announce that Solano County has recently received a credit rating upgrade from Standard & Poor's (S&P) in connection with its upcoming issuance of the 2021 Certificates of Participation (2021 COPs). S&P assigned a rating of AA+ to the 2021 COPs and simultaneously upgrade the County’s other outstanding COPs from AA to AA+. The 2021 COPs will fund energy conservation and generation projects for County campuses located in Fairfield, Vallejo and Vacaville. Additionally, S&P raised its long-term rating on the County’s outstanding pension obligation bonds from AA+ to AAA, the highest possible rating.


Solano County and Catholic Charities of Yolo-Solano continue to process ERAP claims received before July 31 deadline; as of August 1, those still in need of rental assistance who have not yet applied are encouraged to apply through the State
August 19, 2021  SOLANO COUNTY – The local application period for Solano County residents to apply for County Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) funding under the CARES Act has closed. The County and Catholic Charities of Yolo-Solano continue to work through processing existing applications. For those who are still in need, you are encouraged to apply through the State. The State has reserved an additional $14.3 million for Solano County residents who are eligible and have not yet applied for emergency rental assistance through their Housing is Key website, https://Housing.Ca.Gov.
