Solano County, Bay Area health officials share guidance to navigate the U.S. infant formula shortage
May 20, 2022  SOLANO COUNTY – There continues to be a shortage of infant formula nationwide due to supply chain issues and a recall of infant formula due to bacterial contamination in the Abbott manufacturing plant in Michigan. The federal government is currently working on strategies to increase production of formula and help families access existing stock. Compared to other states, California is faring better, but the shortages are still of concern.

Solano County Behavioral Health and Pacific Clinics expand free community-based mobile crisis services in partnership with local law enforcement agencies
April 4, 2022  SOLANO COUNTY – The Solano County Department of Health and Social Services, Behavioral Health division, in partnership with Pacific Clinics, is pleased to announce the expansion of their free Mobile Crisis Response Program into the cities of Vacaville, Rio Vista, Dixon and unincorporated parts of Solano County. The program's mission is to de-escalate crisis situations, link people to necessary services, and support the care coordination with appropriate agencies. Individuals seeking to access to the Mobile Crisis Response Program can call 911. Calls are handled by trained police department emergency dispatch and is available from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Solano County Public Health expands eligibility for COVID-19 second booster doses for residents age 50 and up as well as eligible individuals ages 12 and older
April 1, 2022  SOLANO COUNTY –– The Solano County Department of Health and Social Services, Public Health Division, in accordance with state and national guidance, is expanding COVID-19 second booster doses for everyone ages 50 and up as well as those ages 12 and older with immunocompromising health conditions.

ROV installs 24-hour official ballot drop-box; increasing access for those who choose to vote by mail
March 10, 2022  SOLANO COUNTY – Starting today, in preparation for the 2022 election cycle, the Solano County Registrar of Voters (ROV) has installed a 24-hour official drop-box outside the County Administration Center, located at 675 Texas Street in Fairfield, giving voters the option to drop off their ballots in a safe and secure location, at a date and time that is convenient for them.
