Grant funding available to support most pressing needs in Solano County

February 2, 2021

SOLANO COUNTY – The Solano County Administrator’s Office, as part of the County’s Human Service Needs Assessment, has released a request for proposals for annual grants of up to $50,000 per grant to address the six most pressing needs in Solano County.

In 2019, after a year-long assessment process, the Solano County Board of Supervisors identified the top six human services needs in the County, including mental health, housing, homelessness, early education, youth development and safe and stable environments for children.  The Board established a Community Investment Fund to address these top needs and make tangible progress toward measurable outcomes in the County.

All projects proposed for the Annual Grants Fund must address one or more of the six most pressing needs in the county.  A total of $250,000 is available for July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022. The limit per annual grant is $50,000.  Proposals will be accepted from non-profit organizations, for-profit organizations and government entities.  Those interested in submitting a proposal must attend a
virtual mandatory proposers’ workshop on Monday, February 22, 2021 starting at 1:30 p.m. via Zoom.
