LEVEL II TRAUMA CENTER DESIGNATION
During the Solano Emergency Medical Services Cooperative (SEMSC) meeting on Thursday, October 10, 2013, the American College of Surgeons (ACS) presented a report indicating that the Independent Review Panel of subject matter experts recommended Kaiser Foundation Hospital-Vacaville be designated as the Level II Trauma Center in Solano County. 

Following this recommendation, the SEMSC board voted to preliminarily designate Kaiser Foundation Hospital-Vacaville.

EMS UPDATE

Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance transfers requiring a Registered Nurse due to a patient’s condition or prescribed medications fall under the exclusivity established in the Master Agreement for ALS Ambulance Services.  The Inter-facility Ambulance Transfer Request Form has been revised to assist facilities with selecting the appropriate level of ambulance service.  The form is available on this website under the “Forms” tab; please begin using the form immediately.
