Cache Slough Complex Habitat Conservation Plan

***SURVEY, take the Cache Slough HCP Workshop 1 Survey***

ABOUT THE CACHE SLOUGH COMPLEX
The 53,000-acre Cache Slough complex is a unique area within the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta that plays important roles for the local economy and ecosystem.  The area is dominated by agricultural land uses and essential for local water supply needs.  The region is also the focus of habitat restoration efforts for tidal and wetland restoration, and floodplain enhancements.  Solano County, in collaboration with the Department of Water Resources, Solano County Water Agency, Reclamation District 2068 and Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency is developing a Habitat Conservation Plan(HCP) and Incidental Take Permit (ITP) to provide Endangered Species Act protections for local water intake owners and operators in the Cache Slough Complex area.
