Helping Hands

The Holidays provide a great opportunity to teach your child how to be grateful. Expressing gratitude shows appreciation and compassion for others which is a valuable lesson for a child to learn. Parents and caregivers can set an example of thankfulness by saying “please” and “thank you” when you talk to them and others. Ask your child what they are thankful for and teach them to say “thank you”. Make giving or volunteering a habit, this will show your child that their actions matter and even the little things can make a big difference.
