About CPSP

Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP) is a voluntary program that seeks to improve the health of low-income pregnant women and to give their babies a healthy start in life, by providing enhanced Medi-Cal reimbursements to CPSP-certified obstetrical providers who implement CPSP protocols in their practices. This program is designed to decrease the number of low-birth weights in babies and improve the outcome of all pregnancies by integrating nutrition, psychosocial, health education assessment, interventions, and perinatal education with basic obstetrical care.

Women who are eligible for CPSP will receive the following services:
  • Initial Assessment
  • Client Orientation
  • Individual Care Plan
  • Reassessment
  • Postpartum Assessment
  • Re-Evaluation of Care Plan

Want to become a CPSP Provider?
