Service Employees International Union, Local 1021 (SEIU) represents approximately 1,075 full-time employees in bargaining units 2, 5, 7, 8, 9, as of December 2015.  The union also represents extra help employees in bargaining units 82, 87, 89, and 90.

The Board of Supervisors approved the current memorandum of understanding on December 8, 2015.  The expiration date of the MOU is September 28, 2017.
