The following associations listed below will give you the opportunity to do so! These associations are Advisory Boards to the Solano County Board of Supervisors, and all members are appointed by the Board. One of the main functions of all of these associations is to advise and make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors about polices and legislation that may effect Solano County Residents. They also help to raise public awareness, facilitate trainings, and recommend improvements in services to children, families, and seniors. All meetings are open to the public, and you are encouraged and welcome to join. Child Abuse Prevention Council (CAPC)

The Child Abuse Prevention Council (CAPC) informs, trains and advises the community about keeping children safe from harm. The CAPC works to ensure that all children of Solano County will reach adulthood having experienced a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment.

The Children's Alliance

The Children's Alliance is under the Children's Network umbrella. Children's Alliance is a collaborative that looks at children's issues more broadly than Child Abuse Prevention Council. The Solano Children's Alliance analyzes budgets and policies, makes recommendations to local and state leaders, and apportions funds earmarked for local children and families. The Alliance is the longest functioning interagency council in California.

The Children's Alliance meets every 1st Wednesday of the month from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Brandman University in Fairfield. 

Senior Coalition of Solano County

The mission of the Senior Coalition is to advocate for and support efforts that improve and enrich the lives of seniors living and working in Solano County. The vision of the Coalition is that Solano County is a place where seniors are healthy, safe and secure; share their skills and experience; and are valued and celebrated for their wisdom and contributions.

The Senior Coalition meets the 1st Friday of every month from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The meetings are generally held at 675 Texas Street, Fairfield in the multi-purpose room.
