LNU Lightning Complex Fire August 2020
"Grief is in two parts. The first is loss. The second is the remaking of life." - Anne Roiphe
This past year has been marked by loss. As we reach the year anniversary of the LNU Lightning Complex fire, our thoughts remain with our community, family, and friends working to remake their lives following this disaster. As we look towards the future remember, we are stronger when we stand together.
The preservation of life and property is an inherent responsibility of all levels of government. As disaster can occur in devastating form at any time, Solano County must provide safeguards, which may save lives, while minimizing property damage. This will be accomplished through planning, preparedness measures
and training. Sound emergency plans carried out by knowledgeable and well-trained personnel can and will minimize losses.
