Solano Public Health is rescinding the flu vaccination order that has been in place since October 2015. It is now replaced with a Health Officer Recommendation that can be found here and is effective as of Monday, October 16, 2023.
As of September 25, 2023, every U.S. household may place an order to receive four free COVID-19 rapid tests delivered directly to your home via COVID.gov. To order, click here.
Solano Public Health recommends the updated monovalent COVID-19 vaccine for every six (6) months and older to protect them against severe COVID-19 illness this fall and winter. Additionally, Solano Public Health recommends residents get their annual flu vaccine. Individuals who are interested in getting the updated monovalent COVID-19 vaccine should reach out to their healthcare provider. To find COVID-19 vaccine clinics near you, call your local pharmacy, or visit vaccines.gov or myturn.ca.gov. For a list of Solano County community clinics providing low-cost to no-cost flu shots, visit www.SolanoCounty.com/flu. To read the press release, click here.
As of 9/11/23, the COVID-19 Bivalent Vaccines have been deauthorized. If you are interested in getting the COVID-19 vaccine, please visit your primary care doctor or your local pharmacy for the new COVID-19 vaccine availability information.
